Drones may not be all that safe to be introduced into everyday airspace, especially in the cities with busy airports, but one look at Europe, and one realizes the possibilities and potential of growth with said drones. Drones can be used to modernize and completely revolutionize technology sectors. As such industries could potentially use drones to their benefit, and a lot of it too. So far, the only popular association with drones is war. We think different and hence thought we will talk about different industries transformed by drones.
Of course, these ideas are no applicable everywhere, and are yet not very practical too. But countries like Pakistan, and other developing countries could sure use some similar ideas. Read on to find out more about the top five industries transformed by drones.
The first on our list of industries transformed by drones is farming. This is one of the more wonderful ideas especially for those countries where the economy is primarily based on agriculture. Previously, fixed-wing aircraft or helicopters would be used to spot differences in crop colors (insight into productivity and diseases), and spraying pesticides etc. Of course, that would prove to be rather expensive especially for a low-level farmer. Well, now there is a cheaper alternative.
Real Estate Marketing
This particular industry could use the amazing photos and videos that are possible to capture with a drone. Marketing of properties, plazas, homes and other such estates through pictures and videos is a rather different concept, but it would induce enthusiasm in the potential buyers. Real estate, as always, is a booming industry. If you are a realtor, you need an edge, which a drone can easily provide, assuming of course that your creativity kicks in and helps you out.
It may sound rather weird, but drones are not only being used to capture stunning sceneries and panoramic views of cities. They are actually being used for photography and video shoots, at weddings. I speak from experience. Even the wedding photographers are describing this ingenious use of drone technology as an ‘arms race’. There will be some heavy expenditure involved, but who could say no to a 360-degree, panoramic, and mesmerizing video shoot of a bride? Using drones in your photography business can help you take amazing pictures of your subject, which you can then sell online; we are sure you would know of several services that would allow you to do that.
Drones are becoming an important part of how a particular construction company plans, builds, and enhances ongoing projects. Updates on progress on a construction site are absolutely necessary to allocate resources, and account for time etc. Efficiency in these areas leads to conservation, and that’s what the future is all about.
Finally on our list of industries transformed by drones is logistics. This concept is fairly new, but using unmanned aerial vehicles is perhaps one of the more efficient ways of deliveries, especially with the boom in online shopping. Automating an aerial route and letting the drone take care of the deliveries, saves time and, most importantly, money. Another important point here would be the lack of delivery vehicles on the road. That would lead to lesser congestion, especially on routes that are under construction or narrow. The possibilities are endless, and of course with Amazon working deliveries via, we could soon see other companies practically doing the same thing.
