Mah-e-Meer is an upcoming Pakistani motion picture directed by Anjum Shahzad, produced by Khurran Rana, Sahir Rahseed and Badar Ikram, and written by Sarmad Sehbai. It is a biographical film based on the life of a famous poet Mir Taqi Mir. The role of Mir Taqi Mir is played by Fahad Mustafa. Mah-e-Meer boasts excellent star cast. Apart from Fahad Mustafa, Iman Ali, Alyy Khan, Sanam Saeed and Manzar Sehbai will also be seen in the movie. The story follows the struggle of the famous poet and relates quite realistically to the actual life of Mir Taqi Mir.
Earlier, Mah-e-Meer was set to release on the 6th November, but it has come to face unforeseen delays. The film does not appear to have a final release date as of yet, and no specific reason for the delay has been provided. However, it was learned that the film is currently in the post-production phase and delays are due to issue with color grading. Color grading refers to a process in post-production whereby the colors of a motion picture are corrected which is possible digitally, photo-chemically, or electronically. As such, there is no specific release date for Mah-e-Meer but rumors have it that the movie will hit theatres first week of January next year.
First week of January is not that far away now, but for the fans who were waiting anxiously, this must be seriously frustrating. The good news is that, the first week of January is looking pretty promising. So much so, that a source stated that the movie might surprise the fans during the last week of December this year as well. At any rate, the movie should be pretty amazing considering how interesting Mir Taqi Mir’s life was. For those who do not know, Mah-e-Meer means promiscuous moon, which is quite appropriate given Mir Taqi Mir’s fascination with the full moon.
