The Pentagon is currently investigating whether the ISIS Leader al Baghdadi was poisoned. It was reported that that ISIS leader al Baghdadi may have been poisoned during lunch resulting in him falling seriously ill. ISIS leader al Baghdadi along with three other commanders were having lunch in the small town of Be’aj, Iraq shortly after which, all four suffered ‘severe poisoning’. All four were transferred to an unknown location for treatment. Evidently, the terrorist organization also known as Daesh has launched a hunt to find the culprit. Jeff Davis, a Navy Captaini and Pentagon spokesman told The Post that he is,
aware of the reports, but we have no information to corroborate [said reports]… Suffice to say we always have great interest in the whereabouts and condition of the leader of ISIL.
The U.S. government currently has a $7 million bounty on the head of ISIS leader al Baghdadi due to the terrorist activities carried out under the ISIS flag throughout the world. Baghdadi was once captured in the city of Fallujah in 2004 by American soldiers during U.S.’ invasion of Iraq. He was released several years thereafter and in 2010, he emerged as the leader of ISIS.
Previously, there were reports that the ISIS leader al Baghdadi was either wounded or killed by US-coalition airstrikes. As such, the whereabouts of al Baghdadi and his current condition is unknown. Analysts believe that his death is unlikely to make a difference as it could very well be an inside job by a competitor. The assassin(s) remains a mystery. ISIS recently has seen a major loss to its territories in both Iraq and Syria. In order to have his followers remain loyal, ISIS leader al Baghdadi released a footage last week. He said,
